Flora and Aikou are BBNaija S11’s first Gambits, safe till the finale but locked out of the ₦160m prize. Here’s how it all went down.

Imagine being told you can’t be evicted for the rest of the show, but you also can’t win the money. That’s the wild spot Flora and Aikou just found themselves in on BBNaija Season 11, and honestly, Nigerians on Twitter don’t know whether to congratulate them or feel sorry for them.

Here’s the gist. Sunday night’s live show brought the results of a public vote, and Ebuka announced Flora and Aikou as the season’s first “Gambits.” Flora pulled in 29.18% of the votes to take the female spot, while Aikou grabbed the male slot with 9.10%. Ricky came close behind with 7.30%, and Abi wasn’t far off at 6.07%.

Now, what does being a Gambit actually mean? Two things, and they’re basically opposites. On one hand, Flora and Aikou are guaranteed to stay in the house all the way to the finale. No nomination, no eviction vote, nothing can send them home. That’s huge security in a game where anything can happen week to week.

But here’s the twist that’s got people talking, they’ve officially lost their shot at the ₦160 million grand prize, the biggest in the show’s history. So they get to watch the whole season play out from the safest seat in the house, just not as contenders for the cash.

And the drama didn’t stop there. All week, housemates had been nominating each other, fully believing someone was going home. Then Biggie dropped the bombshell live on air: no evictions this week at all. The nominations meant nothing. Everybody stays. That’s some proper reality TV chaos right there.

There’s more to the Gambit role too, apparently. Beyond just being untouchable, Flora and Aikou will now work as Biggie’s inside agents, handling secret tasks and stirring things up behind the scenes while everyone else keeps grinding for the money.

A bit about the two of them, in case you’re just catching up. Flora Egbedi is a makeup entrepreneur from Delta State, known for speaking her mind. She’d already warned fans her honesty would ruffle feathers in the house. Aikou, 25, is a freelance teacher and web developer from Abuja, describing himself as calm but outspoken, with zero patience for dishonesty.

BBNaija S11, themed “Show Ya Sef,” kicked off July 26 with 24 housemates chasing that record prize. With this Gambit twist, the season’s already proving it won’t play by the usual rules, and that’s exactly why people can’t stop talking about it.
