Burna Boy announces a record third London Stadium show for 2027, unveils a diamond stadium pendant, and teases more news coming soon.
Burna Boy has done it again. The Singer just announced he’s coming back to London Stadium in 2027, and honestly, at this point, is anyone surprised?
Here’s why this matters. That stadium holds 80,000 people. Burna’s already sold it out twice, in 2023 and again in 2024. No other African artist has ever headlined that venue, let alone filled it up not once but twice. Now he’s going for a third round, and that’s a record nobody else in Afrobeats, or African music generally, can currently touch.
He dropped the news himself on X, keeping it short and hyped: “So excited for 2027! London Stadium III and Much More announcements for y’all.”
Notice that “and much more” bit? That’s Burna teasing something bigger, probably a new album to go along with the tour. He loves doing that, drop a little breadcrumb and let fans spend weeks speculating.
Before the concert news even dropped, Burna had already given people something to talk about. He showed off a brand new piece of jewelry, a one-of-one diamond stadium pendant loaded with 600 carats of natural VVS diamonds and a full kilogram of gold. It was made specifically to celebrate his two sold-out London Stadium shows. So yeah, the man commissioned a literal diamond stadium to wear around his neck because he sold out an actual stadium twice. That’s a flex on a whole different level.
This announcement didn’t come out of nowhere either. Burna’s been on an absolute run lately. His song with Shakira, “Dai Dai,” became the official anthem for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and has already crossed 500 million YouTube views, plus close to 280 million Spotify streams. It also went gold in France, which extends his record there too.
On top of that, Chart Master recently named him the best-selling African artist of all time, with over 14 million equivalent album sales to his name. He’s also stepping in as executive consultant on the soundtrack for the “Children of Blood and Bone” movie adaptation, working alongside Tems.
So when you line it all up, the London Stadium news isn’t just a random tour date. It’s another chapter in what’s shaping up to be one of the biggest years of his career. And with “much more” still coming, it sounds like Burna isn’t planning on slowing down anytime soon.
