Entertainment executive Soso Soberekon married Princess Ebiere in a star-studded Warri wedding, with 2Baba and Timi Dakolo serenading the couple

There’s something about a wedding that stops even the busiest social media timeline in its tracks, and Soso Soberekon’s did exactly that. The entertainment executive and businessman officially became a married man over the weekend, exchanging vows with his bride, Princess Ebiere, in a traditional ceremony that turned Warri, Delta State into the centre of Nigeria’s entertainment world for a day.

wasn’t just the couple’s love story pulling people in. It was who showed up to celebrate it.

The bride and groom arrived in a convoy that instantly set the tone for what was coming. Guests were welcomed by ushers dressed in coordinated green-and-white traditional outfits, while the venue itself had been transformed to match the scale of the celebration.

Soso stepped out in an off-white traditional outfit trimmed with silver embroidery, paired with a matching cap and walking stick. His groomsmen gave him a proper traditional welcome, knocking their walking sticks together as he made his entrance. Princess Ebiere, for her part, kept things elegantly simple in a blue traditional outfit.

Every wedding has a moment guests talk about long after the cake is cut, and this one had two. Legendary singer 2Baba had the crowd on its feet when he performed his classic African Queen, prompting Soso to pull his bride onto the dance floor and spray her with foreign currency.

Timi Dakolo followed with his own wedding staple, Iyawo Mi, keeping the romantic mood alive as family and friends looked on.

The guest list read like an entertainment roll call. Ini Edo, Rita Dominic, Iyabo Ojo, Toke Makinwa, Zlatan and Sabinus were all spotted celebrating alongside the couple, while former NFF president Amaju Pinnick added a sporting touch to the star power in the room.

The wedding comes just days after Soberekon shared news of his engagement online, meaning fans barely had time to process one announcement before another swept in.
