Omotayo Sanusi denies claims that Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele caused her marriage breakdown, calling the viral story completely false.
Toyin Abraham reportedly confronted Omotayo Sanusi, Femi Adebayo’s wife, about the fact that her husband and Funke Akindele were on the same set during the filming of Jagun Jagun Part 2. From there, it goes on, but the tale is even juicier than this, saying that Omotayo set the set on fire by confronting Funke, and this one incident was the reason her marriage ended quietly.

It didn’t stop there either. People connected the dots to that awkward moment at Iyabo Ojo’s movie premiere back in April, when Funke appeared to snub Toyin’s greeting. Suddenly everyone had a theory. Maybe Funke found out Toyin spilled the tea and never forgave her for it?
It’s the kind of story that spreads fast because it just feels believable. But according to Omotayo, none of it actually happened.
She’s stayed quiet through a lot of noise about her marriage, choosing not to dignify every rumour with a response. But when a video from blogger Mama Esabod brought the story roaring back to life, she decided enough was enough.

“I have deliberately chosen not to publicly respond to the many false stories and allegations surrounding my marriage,” she wrote in an Instagram statement. This time, though, she felt she had to set the record straight.
“It never happened,” she says
On the claim that she confronted Funke on set, Omotayo didn’t hold back. She called it completely fabricated and said nothing like that ever took place.
What makes her denial harder to dismiss is the detail she brings up next. She was on the Jagun Jagun Part 2 set from start to finish, overseeing welfare for over 500 cast and crew members for more than a month. Her point? A public blow-up like that doesn’t just vanish without a single witness talking.

As for the claims about what she supposedly said about Funke, she wants proof. “Let her provide evidence that I ever said those words. Until then, don’t present allegations as facts,” she said, adding that anyone who genuinely felt harassed or assaulted by her should come forward openly.
Omotayo and Femi married in a private ceremony in Ilorin back in 2016 and have one child together. Fans first suspected trouble in early 2025, after the couple stopped appearing together online and quietly unfollowed each other.
So far, Toyin Abraham, Funke Akindele, and Femi Adebayo have all stayed silent on the matter.
