Blessing Okoro, the relationship influencer millions follow on social media, woke up this morning in a place she never expected: EFCC custody.
What happened? She’s now fighting for her freedom after being charged with stealing ₦69.15 million from a health clinic that trusted her.
But here’s what makes this story even more twisted: she’s already facing another fraud case worth ₦36 million. That’s over ₦105 million in total allegations against one person.
The influencer was brought before the Special Offences Court in Ikeja, Lagos, where she faced a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money under false pretences and the alleged conversion of funds.
According to the EFCC, Blessing CEO allegedly presented herself as the owner of a property located on Tunbosun Osobu Street in the Lekki area of Lagos. Based on that representation, Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited reportedly entered into an agreement and paid ₦69.15 million for the property.
The anti-graft agency, however, claimed that the influencer was not the legitimate owner of the property and that the representation made to the company was false. Prosecutors further alleged that she unlawfully converted the money received from the transaction for personal use.
When the charges were read before the court, Blessing CEO pleaded not guilty to all allegations. Her legal team challenged aspects of the prosecution’s position and requested that the court consider the appropriate legal procedures as the matter progresses.
Following submissions from both the prosecution and defence, the court adjourned the case to a later date for the hearing of her bail application and further proceedings.
The latest court appearance marks another chapter in the legal troubles currently facing the controversial social media figure. Reports indicate that Blessing CEO is also facing a separate fraud-related case involving another property transaction.

The second case
The case, which is already before a Federal High Court in Lagos, reportedly involves allegations of obtaining money under false pretences in a separate property deal. She has also denied wrongdoing in that matter.
Known for her outspoken opinions on relationships and lifestyle issues, Blessing CEO has built a large online following over the years. Her comments and public appearances have frequently generated debate across social media platforms, making her one of the most talked-about personalities in Nigeria’s digital space.
News of her latest arraignment quickly sparked reactions online, with supporters expressing confidence that she would be able to clear her name in court, while others called for the legal process to be allowed to take its course without interference from public opinion.
As the case moves forward, attention is expected to remain focused on the proceedings, particularly given the growing public interest surrounding the allegations and the existence of another pending fraud case.
For now, the court is set to continue hearing the matter, while the EFCC maintains that its investigation uncovered sufficient grounds for prosecution. Blessing CEO, on her part, continues to maintain her innocence as she prepares to defend herself against the allegations.
